Job Description

Growing government contractor looking to bring Electrical Engineers on to their team.
Responsibilities include:
Design and testing of SiC based power electronic converter topologies including active rectifiers, isolated DC-DC converters, solid-state-transformers, and high-speed motor drives
• Design and test DSP based digital control algorithms, FPGA modulators, and PLC based high-level system controllers
• Detailed PCB designs including SiC gate drivers, system control PCBs, and support hardware
• Design and test low (1.2 - 1.7 kV) and medium voltage (3.3 – 10 kV) SiC semiconductor modules
• Design embedded control algorithms, harmonic compensators, software PLLs, and other embedded algorithms
• Develop Controller-Hardware-in-the-Loop test setups, control cards, and control algorithms
• Experience with medium voltage power distribution, solid-state-transformers, and printed circuit board design experience highly desirable
 
Minimum Requirements:
• United States Citizenship required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions
• BS in electrical engineering, computer science, or related major required, with minimum 3.3 GPA, MS and PhDs a plus
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
• The following experience is not required, but highly desirable: o Designing and/or controlling motor drives, ac-dc, and dc-ac converters
o High speed communications development with high performance FPGAs
o Experience programming various microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs. § Direct work with TI C2000 DSPs and Altera FPGAs 
$80,000 - $110,000 a year
