Job Description
Join a Welding Team that Impacts the World - One Day at a Time
We're seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Welder to support our production floor. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who values quality craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork. You’ll play a key part in fabricating high-precision components that meet strict engineering standards—all in a clean, well-organized, and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MIG and/or TIG welding equipment safely and effectively, following industry standards.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and written instructions to complete accurate assemblies.
- Inspect raw materials and finished components to ensure they meet size, shape, and consistency specifications.
- Use a variety of metal shop tools, including angle grinders and other fabrication equipment, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage your workflow to support team efficiency.
- Other job duties as assigned.
This position requires working fixed days Monday - Thursday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the possibility of overtime if required on Friday's.
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational technical school.
- 1-2 years prior production-shop experience complimentary but not required.
- TIG or MIG welding skills preferred but not required (certification is a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineered technical drawings.
- Familiarity with standard shop tools and safety practices.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

I further understand that my employment with Vortex will have a sixty (60) days benefit waiting period, and further that at any time during the waiting period or thereafter, my employment relation with Vortex is terminable at will for any reason by either party.
