Medical Assistant – Pediatric Focus
Salary: $45,000–$55,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Staten Island, NY
Position Summary
We’re seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric services in a high-paced family care setting. This role involves managing patient care, assisting with exams, and ensuring a welcoming environment for children and families. Bilingual skills in Spanish, Urdu, Hindi, Uzbeki, or Arabic are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collect vital signs and update electronic health records
- Assist during pediatric examinations and vaccinations
- Handle basic lab work and specimen preparation
- Manage scheduling, check-ins, and follow-ups
- Maintain clear communication with parents and clinical staff
- Ensure exam rooms and supplies are always prepared
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent training completed
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
- Reliable transportation to travel between two practice locations
