Director of Pharmacy
Location: Richmond, CA
Schedule:
• Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Compensation: $187,200 – $208,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Position Summary
The Director of Pharmacy oversees the delivery of pharmacy services in a clinical setting, focusing on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The position ensures alignment between clinical objectives and pharmacy operations while supporting high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day pharmacy activities and manage clinical support
- Develop pharmacy policies in accordance with legal standards
- Handle vendor contracts, third-party payer processes, and reimbursement policies
- Oversee team management, including hiring, mentoring, and evaluation
- Coordinate with other departments to enhance care delivery
- Maintain systems for tracking medication use and compliance metrics
- Provide ongoing updates to leadership regarding pharmacy performance
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited institution
- Licensed Pharmacist in California
- Minimum 5 years of clinical pharmacy experience
- Experience with 340B program required
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferred
- Strong understanding of Medi-Cal formulary and outpatient pharmacy operations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
