Who You Are & The Impact You Will Have:
The Contracts Paralegal is a key member of the Legal Department, working closely with QTS business stakeholders and legal team members to support a wide range of legal and contractual matters. This role is vital to the department's overall effectiveness and success. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities. This individual demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving to deliver high-quality legal support across QTS departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain and manage the contract repository, ensuring all agreements are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and distributing customer correspondence and legal notices.
- Support corporate governance matters, including maintaining corporate records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Sales, Finance, Operations, and Capital Markets-to ensure contracts align with business and legal requirements.
- Respond to legal inquiries related to customer contracts, including audits, dispute resolution, and due diligence requests.
- Provide general paralegal support across various functions and administrative tasks.
- Support the preparation, review, tracking, and execution of contracts, including coordinating signatures and notarizations.
- Support the administration of the contract lifecycle management platform.
- Develop and manage the process for Certificate of Insurance (COI) requests.
- Prepare concise contract summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Assist with customer financing activities, including due diligence responses and the preparation of estoppel certificates and SNDAs.
- Manage and update standard forms of customer agreements.
- Contribute to the preparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Serve as a point of contact for internal inquiries regarding customer contracts and related legal documentation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience .
- 3+ years of professional experience as a paralegal, focusing on contract management or corporate legal matters.
