Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Ashland, VA
Pay: $18.00 to $20.00/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts throughout the day and assisting in banding up parts for shipping. Candidates with experience handling steel materials are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts efficiently and safely to transport materials within the facility.
- Band parts and materials securely for shipping purposes.
- Handle and move steel materials as needed (preferred experience).
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and workplace protocols.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license (if required).
- Experience working with steel materials (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials.
