Special Education Teacher (K-8 Moderate Disabilities)
Competitive Pay: $60-$70 per hour!
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Boston Speech Therapy, where we prioritize a supportive work environment that values your expertise as a Special Education Teacher. We are looking for a dedicated individual to work with students with moderate disabilities in a K-8 setting. Resource Room setting
*Key Responsibilities*
- Deliver individualized instruction to students with moderate disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Utilize diverse instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff
- Assess and document student progress regularly
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth
Requirements
*Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- State certification in Special Education (K-8)
- Proven experience working with students with moderate disabilities
- Strong knowledge of effective teaching strategies and behavioral interventions
- Ability to develop engaging curriculum adapted to various learning styles
- Experience in administering standardized assessments
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
- MA Special education licence
- Must be a US resident
