Job Description

Position Title:

Practitioner Educator, Department of Pharmacy Practice

Time Type:

Part time

Position Summary and Qualifications:

Responsibilities include working under the direction of the Department Chair and along side other members of the faculty team to deliver educational experiences in various learning environments.

Essential Duties:

  • Facilitate activities in a variety of different learning environments using pedagogical approaches including lectures, small group discussions, patient or healthcare professional role play, simulations and patient care discussion
  • Evaluate student performance and learning when applicable consistent with course requirements
  • Prepare and deliver class sessions to Doctor of Pharmacy and other health professional learners
  • Complete responsibilities of course team leaders, if applicable, including the above in addition to developing and managing syllabus materials, coordinating course needs with departmental chair, submitting grades in a timely manner per university policy, and reporting student learning outcomes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by either the Chair or faculty course coordinator/team leader

Secondary Responsibilities:

Interacting with other members of the instructional team.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS degree with exceptional professional experience.
  • Professional experience in the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD, MS or equivalent terminal degree preferred.
  • PGY1 residency trained or equivalent practice or teaching experience
