Job Description
Position Summary
The Security Administrator is responsible for safeguarding an organization's information systems and sensitive data by implementing, managing, and enforcing security protocols. This role collaborates with our technology team to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, address vulnerabilities, and maintain a strong security posture. This person should be a self-starter, a continuous learner, and a problem solver.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and troubleshoot Cisco ISE. The Security Administrator should be able to create policies, device profiles, and downloadable access control lists (DACLs). They should also be able to apply patches, monitor ISE performance, and troubleshoot client authentication.
- Assist other technology teams in investigating and remediating vulnerabilities.
- Stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, implement necessary updates and upgrades, and remediate vulnerabilities to our security infrastructure.
- Monitor, investigate, and act upon all security system alerts, such as user account lockouts, suspicious activity, and other security events.
- Oversee the configuration and maintenance of our Rapid7-hosted vulnerability platform and SIEM.
- Co-administer Netskope Secure Web Gateway and Cloud Access Security Broker, including its agent.
- Helps with identification, triage, and investigation of potential security incidents—member of the Incident Response Team.
- Assist in fulfilling Security Analyst responsibilities during peak demand or unavailability.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Information Security Field. Network and/or Security certifications preferred.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of information security principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience administering security tools and technologies like Cisco ISE, Rapid7's vulnerability platform, and Netskope SWG and CASB.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify security gaps and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with technology teams to achieve common security goals.
- Knowledge of incident response procedures.
- Create and update security documentation such as procedures, guidelines, and policy input.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki and M365 security (Preferred)
Salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
