Job Description

Facilities Construction Supervisor

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing the day-to-day activities and staff within the Construction department. This role supports remodels, staff moves, and project requests across ACE territories, providing technical leadership to ensure cost control, adherence to standards, and delivery of functional, high-quality facilities that meet organizational needs.

This position brings forward new and innovative ideas, strong problem-solving capabilities, and extensive working knowledge of end-to-end project management, with an emphasis on permitting, scheduling, current pricing, and full-process oversight. The Construction Supervisor leverages years of experience managing teams and multiple concurrent projects to ensure efficient execution, accurate scoping, and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and recommending updates to construction products and standards; obtaining and evaluating competitive bids; reviewing and approving contracts and purchase orders; and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and quality. The Construction Supervisor manages remodels and new construction projects from initiation through completion, directing contractors, resolving issues, and rejecting unsatisfactory work when necessary.Responsibilities

  • Assist in the completion of plans and specifications needed to achieve various projects. Verify compliance with same, reject or approve completed work.

  • Organize, plan, schedule and lead team meetings for various projections.

  • Assist in the completion of contracts. Review and monitor compliance of same with regard to architects, consultants, contractors and other suppliers.

  • Develop and update project schedules. Coordinate materials and labor required to complete remodels and new construction projects.

  • Work with government agencies to obtain permits, approvals and site inspections required for completion and occupancy rights.

  • Remain on call and available to provide direction and assistance in emergency situations, protecting the assets of the Club. Provide temporary project management for others in managers' absence due to vacations, illness and/or conflicting obligations.

  • Estimate costs for goals, as well as requests for remodels, relocations and new construction throughout the ACSC and its territories. Maintain accurate records and history for reference.

  • Maintain warranties and guarantees. Coordinate repairs and/or replacements as provided in contracts and agreements.

  • Review and comment on lease/purchase agreements in support of the Club's real estate and tenant space i.e. rental revenue.

  • Must have ability to negotiate permit processing and inspection follow up.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree- Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related fields or equivalent professional experience 

  • 5 years Architecture, construction, or related experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, equipment and building specifications required.

  • Familiarity with CAD, BIM, or other design coordination tools

  • Familiarity with critical path project schedule methodology and related software required.

  • General knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles required.

  • Comprehensive communication skills required, both written and oral.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Preferred

  • Must have advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project.

  • Use of personal vehicle.

  • Valid Driver's License, acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record and minimum liability insurance- Issued by State Required

The starting pay range for this position is:

$97,200.00 - $129,300.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
