PAY RATE:$400 / Weekly
SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT:May - August 1st 2026POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Personnel (Cleaning Focus) ensure that our guest cabins are clean, welcoming and ready for occupancy. This role focuses primarily on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety for our short-term rental properties, school, and group accommodations. In addition to cleaning duties, the specialist will assist with maintenance tasks and projects as needed. The position reports to the Director of Facilities.JOB DUTIES:
- Clean and prepare cabins for guest check-ins and group/school arrivals.
- Perform routine inspections of cabins and shared facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Clean restrooms, showers, and common areas on a regular schedule.
- Assist with trash collection and disposal throughout the camp.
- Support maintenance tasks and projects as secondary responsibilities (e.g., basic repairs, grounds upkeep, or organizing storage areas).
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to the Facilities team.
- Follow YMCA policies, safety procedures, and standards for high-risk activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with housekeeping, janitorial work, or short-term rental cleaning preferred.
- Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic skills in maintenance, landscaping, or general project support are a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, safety, and proper storage practices.
- Compliance with YMCA child safety policies and abuse prevention training.
- On-site, seasonal housing provided at no cost to employees. Housing includes gas, electric, water, and sewer utilities at no cost. Additionally, employees staying on-site will have access to any meals that are also provided to program participants.

The YMCA requires all staff to share responsibility for preventing child abuse by upholding professional boundaries, completing mandatory Praesidium training, and reporting concerns. All candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening, including criminal and sex offender checks.
