Job Description
Horizons Mental Health Center is looking for a dependable Facility Technician to help keep our facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for staff, clients and visitors. This role focuses on routine facility maintenance, minor repairs, and supports the upkeep of our buildings and grounds.
Essential Responsibilities

- Perform maintenance across a range of areas, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, minor repairs, and grounds upkeep, using your hands-on experience in a range of maintenance tasks.
- Apply generalist maintenance skills across multiple areas to complete tasks efficiently.
- Complete maintenance tasks in a way that minimizes disruption to daily operations.
- Use a company vehicle to travel between locations or run facility-related errands safely.
- Maintain inventory of tools and supplies needed for routine work.
- Identify situations that require specialized expertise and coordinate with trained technicians or vendors.
- Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications
Education, Experience and Certifications, Required Education and Experience
- Hands-on experience in a range of maintenance tasks.
Required License/Certifications/Registrations
- Kansas Driver's License (if position requires driving)
- Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas Insurance requirements (if position requires driving)

- Hands-on maintenance experience in a business, facility, or organizational setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Comfortable applying generalist maintenance skills across multiple areas.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible and willing to support a wide range of facility needs.
- Physical stamina- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended
- periods.
- Self-direction and the ability to follow directions.
- Ability to lift/move heavy objects.
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation)
Strength Level: Heavy Work: Occasionally exerting up to 100 lbs - constantly exerting up to 20 lbs. 51- 75% of the day may be standing or walking.
