Bank Secrecy Act Specialist

Job Summary

The Bank Secrecy Act Specialist has a working knowledge Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC compliance. This position will assist with the management BSA/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC program and procedures related to compliance for the bank.

Essential Functions

• Supports the Bank's BSA/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC program in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Works with and has a high comfort level with the Bank's BSA software. Works alerts from BSA software for structuring, higher risk customers and watch list alerts. Works with cases to determine if further reporting is needed.
• Assists in timely completion of Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports and screening lists. Assists and works with all other BSA subject areas.
• Assists in preparing documentation for internal auditors and regulatory examinations. Assists in following up on outstanding issues.
• Assists with responding to BSA inquiries. Works on various projects.
• Stay abreast of changes in BSA/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC regulations and guidelines.

Education & Experience

• Associate degree from accredited college or university and/or 5-8 years of experience in BSA, compliance, or related field.
