Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with children and their families, providing assessment and therapeutic services in a fun and supportive environment. Your creativity and dedication will help make a positive impact on the lives of the children we serve.

🎉 As a Superstar team member, you will be part of the development team to create new occupational therapy services for children. The development team is developing occupational therapy services for adults which will be a new service. You will be part of the process!

Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify each child's specific needs

*Develop individualized treatment plans that meet the needs for each client

*Implement therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities

*Monitor and document each client's progress and make adjustments to plan of care/treatment plans as necessary

*Collaborate with parents and caregivers to provide strategies for support at home

*Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
  • Current and valid license from the Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and their families
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and efficient time management skills
  • Excellent observation skills
