Job Title: Transportation Coordinator
Reports To: Customer Service Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Location: Coventry, RI
Pay Range: $19-$20 an hour
Job Summary:
At TransPar, exceptional customer service is at the heart of our operations. We are looking for a full time Transportation Coordinator (TC) 5 days per week at our Rhode Island Statewide Student Transportation Program. As a TC, you will provide professional customer service to both school staff and district parents/guardians. You will collaborate with those parties and our school bus contractor personnel to resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all clerical functions assigned by the General Manager and Customer Service Manager
- Receive and resolve complaint and inquiry calls or direct the caller to the appropriate school administrators, bus contractors and/or Department of Transportation staff for resolution.
- Receive, record and track accident, incident and complaint reports and direct copies to proper staff members.
- Resolve disputes, disagreements and misunderstandings between the Department of Transportation, school administrators, school bus and student taxi contractors, and parents.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all RI outplacement a schools and RIDE administrators, school bus contractors, parents and patrons.
- Support school bus contractors and school administrators to ensure current, accurate student information and routes.
- Assist contractors, school administrators, Team Leads, Operations Manager, and Transportation Director in solving route and bus stop related issues.
- Support internal and external administrators with maintenance of student information in the automated systems.
- Monitor on-time performance of school bus contractors.
- Assist in conducting quality assurance audits and monitoring submission of required documents by contractors to ensure contract compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or satisfactory completion of any General Education Development (GED) Program
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
