Social Content Specialist - University Of Connecticut

As a part of Learfield's new Always On team and initiative, the Content Specialist is an important role on the ground at UConn that assists in the development and production of original and branded content-driven executions in partnership with the school. Reporting to the Supervising Producer and working closely with the on-site sales team, they will collaborate with the athletic departments, school production teams, and local staff to help ideate, create and execute a robust original and branded content offering and calendar that will increase fan engagement across school athletic handles as well as generate revenue opportunities for local Learfield sales staff

Responsibilities:

• Assist in creation of original video and social content in partnership with school teams to drive fan engagement across social channels and generate revenue opportunities for local sales staff

• Assist creation of custom branded social media content for local property sales staff to drive revenue opportunities for Learfield.

• Assist in the creation of content for various platforms including but not limited to multimedia audio/video, animation, graphics, and sponsorable content

• Along with Supervising Producer, act as a liaison between athletic department content team, Learfield local sales teams and national sales

• Collaborate closely with athletic department content teams to create custom branded content (in all forms) in the defined voice and tone of each social media account, across all platforms, including emerging platforms

• Assist in the development and execution of creative projects from idea generation through final deliverables, including writing, producing, shooting, and overseeing edit when necessary at UConn

• Assist Supervising Producer and UConn Production Teams on the creative content development for all Learfield led original content opportunities

• Collaborate closely with athletic department content teams to create original content in the defined voice and tone of each social media account, across all platforms, including emerging platforms

• Assist in the production of Learfield live-action shoots at UConn Expected to attend live events and produce social content in-game

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year experience successfully working in a creative production environment

• Minimum 1-year experience in developing creative social content that has driven engagement and results

• Demonstrated experience creating content for multiple social platforms with a clear understanding for what works best on specific social media channels

• Demonstrate a proficient understanding of how all social platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat) and their communities work, including emerging platforms

• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Proven ability to collaborate with other content creators and stakeholders

• Creative and strategic in nature with the ability to think outside the box and articulate "big ideas"

• Unquestioned integrity and trustworthiness. Adherence to Learfield, university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in a related field of study.

• Prefer advanced knowledge of graphic, motion design, photography, and video editing/production (including Adobe Creative Cloud)

• Prefer previous experience in sports industry and ideally in college athletics

• Prefer previous experience working with a sales team

• Knowledge of the NIL landscape is a plus
