Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
Prepare detailed demand/supply plans, scheduling & purchasing reqs for a broad range of globally sourced commodities & raw materials. Ensure timely & adequate supply of materials to sites supporting MMIC engineering worldwide.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
Job Functions:
- End to end management of part procurement, from forecasting and vendor qualification to order placement, tracking, inbound inspection, and stocking.
- Manage/maintain stock policies & raw material inventory to meet delivery targets.
- Prepare complex materials analysis, including integrating supply/demand views, customer forecasts, inventory positions, rates of new product launches, end of components life cycle & changes in supplier capabilities.
- Improve Time to Market and Engineering Project Cycle Time.
- Improve commonality and re-use of existing component library.
- Improve Time to Ramp and Customer Deliveries as supply chain is better planned and prepared for new products.
- Issue, track and maintain E-runs interfacing with CFT members across the company to issue E-runs, implement routings, and maintain all the E-run materials upon completion.
- Develop and implement engineering store room(s) to better manage engineering parts / samples.
- Work closely with Product Management, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Design Engineering and MMIC leadership to plan, track, organize and store the quantity of raw materials & components to meet both service delivery & inventory targets.
- Implement & improve planning processes like pull replenishment, forecast drivers & plan for quantity & schedule of material required.
- Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM’s) to ensure material availability on design changes & manage phase in/out of materials to minimize risk of obsolete stock.
- Recommend changes to key material planning parameters like safety stock, replenishment cycle, & planning process workflows.
- Develop a component demand supply plan incl: supply-demand balancing, supply availability, allocations, delivery performance, flexibility requirements.
- Process purchase requisitions for raw materials from approved suppliers. Communicate raw material delivery schedules & expedite required materials.
- Generate consumption vs. planned, ordered reports, inventory balances, target & process cycle time performance measures for management review.
- Follow up on outstanding open orders not meeting targeted material supply plans.
- Perform data maintenance and updates in MAPICS ERP system.
- Determine root causes for part shortages & implement permanent corrective action.
- Optimize global engineering component inventory across multiple locations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering.
- APICS Certification is a plus. Excellent math skills.
- Minimum 5 years material planning exp. in a global supply chain co, preferably in electronics or electro-mechanical devices.
- Ability to analyze electronic product bills of material to understand key requirements.
- Experience with planning & purchasing of electronic components incl. semiconductors, custom cable assemblies, PCBs, connectors & enclosures a strong plus.
- Understanding of wireless & RF terminology a strong plus.
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced proficiency in MS Excel for analysis, planning & reporting.
- Proficient knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (MAPICS experience highly desirable).
- Excellent verbal & written communication, negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills & attention to detail.
- High customer service skills & able to solve problems of diverse scope.
- Ability to manage multiple projects & support to various departments with different requirements.
- Must be highly flexible & adjust readily to new situations.
