Please visit www.exceedsafety.com for more information on our services.This role is a full-time, permanent role for a steel erection company located in Sebring, FL.Function:The Field Safety Professional inspects client work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. The person in this role should demonstrate a strong vision for safety and proactively work toward creating a safety culture. This role reports to the Safety Director.Responsibilities:
- Ensure field safety compliance with all labor safety policies
- Responsible for county, state, and federal DOT compliance requirements.
- Enhances job knowledge by participating in educational training sessions.
- Inspect working conditions to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations
- Perform safety audits, job hazard analysis and incident investigations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safety programs are aligned with company and site goals.
- Assist with the investigation process to ensure thorough investigations, provide resolutions, and issue reports.
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license
- Demonstrates a flexible, positive ‘can do’ approach to delivering team results
- Prefer Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 1 years’ experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position; Technical writing a plus.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate needs, be resourceful and use sound judgment and tact
