Job Description

Finance Intern

LOCATION: Piqua, Ohio

BUSINESS UNIT: Crane Pumps & Systems

DEPARTMENT: Finance

SEGMENT: Process Flow Technologies

REPORTS TO: AP/AR Manager

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Finance Intern will be an active part of our team and will gain exposure to a variety of areas of the accounting function on an everyday basis. This is a Full-time (40 hours per week) position during the summer of 2024 and transitioning to Part-time when school starts (approx. 20 - 24 hours per week) paid internship. The hours for this position are flexible within our normal operating hours of M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist with special projects:
  • Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation
  • Work with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts
  • Support AR/AP
  • Data entry

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Must currently be enrolled in a Post-Secondary Program level program
  • 3.0 GPA or higher desired.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities at once
  • Must be able to handle sensitive/ confidential information in a professional manner
  • Ability to address situations with good judgment and integrity
  • Excellent task management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build strong business relationships
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Available to work full-time for the summer of 2024 and transition to part time during school days (20 - 24 hours per week)
