Fixed Building Security (Swing Shift) - Burbank

Who are we hiring?

The Fixed Building Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment at Madison Square Garden's Sphere Studios and Big Dome locations.

What will you do? 

• Provide security guard force coverage of Sphere Studios and Big Dome by staffing 24/7 fixed, roving, indoor, or outdoor security posts in all weather conditions
• Control access to the building and surrounding property
• Screen visitors, vehicles, and equipment entering the property
• Secure production trucks, equipment, and personnel entering and exiting the property’s loading docks in support of Sphere events
• Observe and report on security threats along the building’s perimeter such as crime, scalper activity, loitering, and surveillance activity (of performers, artists, Sphere activity)
• Support egress and ingress of daily guests and staff
• Escort patrons, clients, employees, artists, performers and others
• Learn and execute security response, access control, and evacuation plans

What do you need to succeed? 

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Understanding of security procedures and front-facing experience with VIPs, C-Suite executives and/or high net worth individuals
• Familiarity with hand-held radios, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems and other security devices
• Must have the ability and interpersonal skills to effectively assist guests, clients and employees
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have basic familiarity with email, Microsoft Office tools, and computer software programs used for staffing, access control, and deliveries
• Internal applicants who would like to be considered for Full Time employment must have a clean performance record for the past year and in good standing with the company

Special Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment
• General physical requirements such as lifting 25 lbs., standing for long periods, walking long distances, bending and constant motion is often required
