PAY RANGE: $43.73 or $47.41

Headquartered in both Kansas City and Topeka, Evergy employs about 4,900 people who are dedicated to empowering a better future. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Fleet Mechanic or Fleet Mechanic Journeyman position in Wichita, KS.

Hours- Monday thru Friday, 3:30pm to 12:00am

Fleet Mechanic Journeymen shall be skilled workers having three (3) or more years in the trade or having been previously classed by the Company as a Journeyman Fleet Mechanic, who possess the required knowledge, skill and physical ability to maintain and repair all fleet equipment operated by the Company. A Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and a Master Truck Technician ASE Certification are required upon acceptance of the position.

Fleet Mechanic "shall be skilled workers having three (3) or more years in the trade and will be required to acquire a Master Truck Technician ASE Certification within eighteen (18) months of accepting the position. Failure to do so will cause the employee to be disqualified from the position and terminated from the Company. Upon successful completion of the ASE Certification, Fleet Mechanics will automatically be reclassified to Fleet Mechanic, Journeyman at the appropriate rate of pay for that position. A Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required upon acceptance of the position."

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
