Job Description
As a Food & Beverage Server you will act as a professional resort representative creating the best environment for guests and employees. Service is our product and providing guests with a memorable experience is the primary focus. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide for the guest's food and beverage needs in a friendly and professional manner consistent with Snowbasin standards
- Read, understand and abide by the employee handbook and all resort/department policies & procedures
- Maintain a positive work environment by interacting in a courteous and professional manner with all guests, co-workers and vendors
- Actively abide by Snowbasin's recycling policy
- Maintain awareness of all safety, state and federal sanitation and security procedures. Maintain accountability for yours and other's safety
- Maintain knowledge of offered products with the ability to make suggestions to guests and add personality to the guest experience
- Invite guests to try new products and engage in new experiences
- Review and follow-up on schedules and new information
- Assist in the smooth flow of meal course in anyway needed. This may include plating, traying and preparing starters and salads
- Work with culinary team to ensure guest's needs are met in a timely basis through constant communication and scheduling
- Attend event execution meetings for all assigned events
- Ensure all function rooms are left in showroom condition and/or set for the next function
- Report safety-related incidents or potentially harmful situations and equipment immediately
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO THE JOB?
- Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment, personal computers and some kitchen equipment
- Proper use of point-of-sale including product and payment methods
- 100% cash accuracy- work with cash office to correct discrepancies immediately
- Proficiency in kitchen procedures and policies
- Awareness and adherence of all safety protocols
- Willingness to strive for the utmost in customer service with a friendly, professional and timely performance
- Lead by example fostering departmental teamwork and collaboration
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
Preferred Experience
- Current Utah Food Handler's Permit
- Experience in customer service
- Availability through the entire season
- Availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and nights
- A positive attitude focused on creating the best experience for guests and co-workers
