Job Summary
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and every other weekend The Food Service Worker performs a variety of functions related to the safe assembly, distribution and service of food for Hospital patients, visitors and staff.Does this position require Patient Care? NoEssential Functions-Attends department meetings, monthly in-services, training classes, etc., as assigned.-Anticipates and meets customer needs; takes appropriate steps to rectify issues.-Maintains cleanliness of work areas.-Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment.-Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude.-Adheres to all HACCP standards.-Alerts supervisor to any concerns, discrepancies, product shortages, etc.-Actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction.-Works in various tray line, cafeteria, and kitchen positions. Sets up and stocks food station for meal service. Assembles patient trays, serves food and beverage to retail customers, and/or delivers or retrieves trays from patient rooms.-Cleans station, equipment, and floors at the end of each meal.-Position may include operating dish machine, trash compactor, mopping floors.-Prepares additional food items for patient tray line and cafeteria operations.-Regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager.-Assists with training of new employees as well as cross-training of fellow employees.Qualifications
