Job Description

We’re seeking an Automotive Electrical Technician to become part of our expanding team! The ideal applicant will bring solid experience in vehicle service, with ASE or Ford certification being a strong plus. Responsibilities include carrying out repairs based on assigned work orders and accurately diagnosing necessary services.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned repairs outlined on work orders efficiently and in line with dealership standards
  • Conduct test drives and use diagnostic equipment and specialized tools to evaluate vehicle systems and components
  • Identify, service, and repair various automotive systems such as the engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, steering, brakes, A/C, and more
  • Work closely with the Service Advisor to keep customers updated on recommended additional services and provide accurate repair time estimates
  • Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines and requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Service Technician
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • ASE or Ford certifications are a plus
  • Prior work experience at a Ford dealership is highly desirable
  • Qualified at the B level, with strengths in diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills, including use of electronic testing tools
  • Comfortable with basic computer tasks (e.g., typing, Microsoft Office)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Upbeat, team-oriented attitude with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • Proven ability to work well within a team setting
  • Quick to adapt to new tools, technologies, and repair procedures
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history
