Forklift Driver

A forklift driver operates machinery to move, load, unload, and stack materials, ensuring a safe and clean work environment while maintaining accurate inventory records. Key responsibilities include performing safety checks and basic maintenance on the forklift, coordinating with team members, and following all safety regulations and documentation procedures. Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
• Load and unload trucks, rail cars, and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on forklifts, such as checking fluid levels, and immediately report any malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by verifying and documenting the quantity and quality of items.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced before transportation.
• Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate and coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Complete and maintain logs, records, and other relevant documentation. 

Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification and experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate various types of forklifts and material-handling equipment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
