Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a Foundry Manager to join our team; this is an exempt position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:

  • Directly and indirectly supervises all foundry employees.
  • Participates in the establishment of production goals and timetables for the foundry.
  • Organizes production procedures and monitors performance.
  • Maintains a foundry budget and implements cost reduction and profit improvement

programs.

  • Maintains close surveillance over all foundry operations to assure that schedules and

timetables are met.

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities- Manages supervisors who supervise employees in the Molding

Areas, Core Room, Melt, Cleaning Room, Pattern Shop and Furnace Repair. Is responsible for the

overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory

responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising

performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving

problems.

Qualifications- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

Education and/or Experience- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or

technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent

combination of education and experience.

Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and

maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and

correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of

organization.

Mathematical Skills- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and

statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to

apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete

variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of

instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of

Manufacturing software.
