GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Supports Fuels Marketing and Product Management team in coordinating the development of product programs, process and communication strategy for boutique, diesel, and other alternative fuels. Responsibilities include but not limited to troubleshoot and support resolution of customer and store issues, work with other internal departments to develop optimal product management strategies, analyze market data to generate customer and competitor insights, maintains reports, and minimal travel to stores and conferences as needed.
You may also prepare for and assist with regulatory guidelines, RVP seasonal transitions, winterized diesel transitions, maintenance of product designations, and ongoing process documentation, ensuring that the company's systems and processes meet regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Additionally, you will establish working relationships with various internal departments, agencies, trade groups, jurisdictions, and municipalities to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Align with Director of Fuel Product Management on appropriate product designations, pricing strategy, approval processes and reporting guidelines.
Coordinate annual RVP Shared Hose transition processes with S&O, Logistics, Fuel Accounting and Maintenance groups.
Coordinate annual Winterized Diesel transition processes with S&O, Logistics, Fuel Accounting and vendor partnerships.
Collaborate with Accounting, Logistics, Fuels Regulatory and Compliance departments to ensure all stores meet regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate regulatory signage, octane, and blend ratios.
Become a subject matter expert on all fuel types related to our product offer across our Retail network and support fuel analysts and field partners to address questions related to gasoline, boutique fuels, diesel, and alternative product offers.
Monitor and identify performance exceptions, competitor insights, and communicate root causes to product and pricing managers for resolution.
Maintain Ethanol Free products database with accurate octane offer on Puregas.org.
Align with Fuels Regulatory and Compliance to ensure product, pricing and compliance to local regulations and guidance per local counsel.
Keep informed of proposed or pending regulatory changes to understand the potential impact on our operations.
Coordinate review of processes and procedures for improvement as the business evolves and align with Product & Supply teams to ensure stores remain compliant in the event of a regulation change, change in product offering, or as product specifications change.
Develop a comprehensive desk manual that creates standardized processes and streamlines procedures in an organized manner. Responsible for team member cross-training.
Compile research findings to illustrate the impact on MUSA that can be used for presentations.
Assist in auditing programs, processes, and procedures for compliance or risk.
Assist in researching violations by an inspector.
Travel may sometimes be required to attend conferences, meetings with vendors, or visit stores.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as business, computer, etc. Equivalent to four years in college or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Some fuels and regulatory experience are preferred.
