Position Summary
The Fuels Supply, Pricing & Market Execution Director drives regional integration of supply operations, pricing strategies, and commercial execution to optimize margins and enterprise value. This role aligns demand planning, supply flows, and pricing execution through real-time intelligence and operational coordination. A key enabler of supply-demand optimization, the role ensures agility in market response, compliance with financial and operational governance, and alignment with enterprise strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and executes regional supply and pricing strategies aligned to asset utilization, inventory targets and enterprise goals
Translates optimization targets into executable commercial plans
Balances logistics capacity, inventory, and pricing signals to drive asset and margin optimization
Retains certain trading activity for West Coast markets and collaborates heavily with other commercial organizations to drive value and align on overall trading strategies
Executes trades in alignment with margin optimization plans and governance frameworks, ensuring integration with broader value chain short term and long term strategies
Ensures supply flows, pricing, and fulfillment align with market dynamics and evolving signals
Oversees execution of deals and movements tied to pricing strategies and performance plans
Uses real-time market and supply chain data to forecast, plan, and adjust pricing and supply tactics
Coordinates with analytics and commercial teams to inform price setting, demand forecasts, and execution plans
Monitors KPIs including execution vs. plan, responsiveness to market changes, and margin delivery
Aligns with Marketing, ST&O (Supply, Trading & Origination), VCO (Value Chain Optimization), and Middle Office to shape pricing and supply strategies
Partners with Finance on governance, asset planning, and cost control
Collaborates with Commercial teams on swing strategies, asset allocation, and pricing implications
Ensures compliance with financial, pricing, and operational standards
Champions integrated governance of planning, pricing, and performance tracking
Leads cross-functional forums for execution alignment and market response
Manages product sourcing, terminal balancing, and fulfillment strategies to optimize supply chain reliability and value chain economics meeting customer needs and expectations
Partners with Risk and ST&O to structure crack-spread, basis and FX hedges that lock in contribution margin
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or similar
- 15+ years in supply chain, pricing strategy, or commercial execution within fuels, energy, or industrials
- 7+ years in leadership roles managing integrated supply and pricing functions
- Proven experience coordinating planning and execution across commercial and operational teams
- Expertise in market intelligence, logistics optimization, and pricing governance
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, especially across Finance, Risk, and Marketing
- Deep understanding of performance metrics, trading trends, and supply-demand modeling tools
