At Watermark, our people come first!General EngineerIn this role you will….- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Air Force (USAF) built infrastructure, including an in-depth understanding of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs) and the application of the DoD Mission Assurance Benchmarks for Supporting Infrastructure.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments across various infrastructure elements, such as water, wastewater, electricity, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), petroleum products, fire protection systems, generators, and natural gas systems.
- A crucial aspect of this position involves performing structural engineering vulnerability assessments that address perimeter security, Access Control Points, facility standoff, barrier planning and overall facility protection, aligning with the Mission Assurance Program.
- Additionally, the General Engineer shall assess electromagnetic pulse protection (EMP) where EMP hardening is required.
- Understanding of pre-assessment phase activities (e.g. Mission Analysis and Pre-Site Survey)
- Assessment phase activities to include onsite vulnerability and risk assessments
- Post assessment phase activities (e.g., Post Analysis, Report Writing, and Major Command follow-up)
- The General Engineer should also have a working knowledge of USAF Civil Engineering governance, programming, and processes.
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering or relevant field
- A minimum of 5-10 years experience working in a civil or mechanical engineering field.
- TS/SCI
- May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
- Requires ability to consistently perform repetitive tasks including filing and scanning
- May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time
- Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
- Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
- Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
