At Watermark, our people come first!General EngineerIn this role you will be a key team member for teams that assess the security and resilience of critical U.S. Air Force mission systems, infrastructures, and assets. Air Force Mission Assurance Assessment Teams require highly specialized technical, analytical, and investigative support services to develop and conduct comprehensive assessments of critical assets and activities. In this high visibility, demanding role you’ll have the with the opportunity to travel around the world to the most important Air Force critical infrastructure to ensure its survivability against all hazards and threats.In this role you will….- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments across various infrastructure elements, such as electricity or power systems; generators; water and wastewater; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); petroleum products or fuels, fire protection and life safety systems, and natural gas systems.
- Perform structural engineering vulnerability assessments that address facilities and facility standoff, perimeter barriers and security, access control points, and overall facility protection.
- Assess the operational environment and assets and infrastructure to determine vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the development of logical diagrams of key infrastructure and systems.
- Contribute to development and validation of All Hazards Threat Assessments (AHTAs).
- Use expert knowledge of risk assessment and risk response to assist with asset, site, and enterprise risk management.
- Provide recommendations to reduce the overall risk by preventing or mitigating damage to or destruction of mission-critical assets and systems.
- Write highly technical reports and provide briefings for assessment findings and subsequent risk management recommendations.
- Collaboratively support team and staff mission activities including conferences, development of artifacts and quality control of products.
- 6 (preferably 8) years of experience with infrastructure, facilities, and/or utility systems.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering governance, programming, and processes is highly desirable.
- Technical report writing is highly desirable.
- Experience in modeling/simulation for hazard assessments is highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs) is highly desirable
- Familiarity with DoD Mission Assurance Construct is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly desirable.
