Job Description
General Purpose
The purpose of the Guest Services Associate is to provide assistance to guests in the ticket windows, rental cashier stations, and retail stations. This position is ideal for someone that is passionate about providing expectation-exceeding experiences to our guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and respond to their queries in a professional, efficient manner.
- Sell merchandise to customers, demonstrate knowledge of products and industry trends.
- Assist guests with ticket purchases, season pass purchases, equipment rental pickups, and snow school lesson redemptions.
- Assist with event planning
- Respond to guest email inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring their questions are answered.
- Handle lost and found items, ensuring they are securely stored and returned to their rightful owners when claimed.
- Assist in managing crowd control during peak periods to ensure smooth flow and operation.
- Be knowledgeable of and provide guests with detailed information about ski area services, facilities, and policies.
- Be the point of contact for any guests with concerns and resolve the concerns in a timely manner.
- Approach each guest with a positive attitude, ensuring they feel welcomed to the Pajarito Mountain family.
- Complete opening and closing procedures for multiple areas.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure a smooth, enjoyable guest experience.
Other Responsibilities:
- Follow cash handling procedures set forth by the leadership team.
- Contribute to a professional workplace that maximizes employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
- Follow all company and department policies and procedures, and attendance and punctuality requirements.
- Assist in any other department or with any other duties, as assigned or needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of skiing and other winter activities preferred.
- Skill in Google Workspaces and standard computer interfaces.
- Skill in providing expectation-exceeding customer service to all guests.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and co-workers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Available to work on weekends and holidays.
