Where the team fits in

As Head of People, partnering closely with our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) across Product and Tech, you'll play a critical role uplifting leadership capability, shaping organisational effectiveness, managing risk, and embedding high‑performance across REA. Not only are you a trusted advisor, you'll coach and challenge your leaders, whilst balancing strategic impact.

What the role is all about

Day to day, you'll be responsible for leading a high performing team of business partners, bringing our people and culture strategy to life. You'll represent our people function at senior leadership forums, contributing thought leadership and pragmatic people advice. You'll be a pro at leaning into difficult, high‑impact conversations with ELT and senior leaders to build leadership maturity.

Day to day, you can expect to deliver on:

Strategic Partnership & Leadership Enablement

  • Partner strategically with ELT members to enable achievement of business strategy through people

People Leadership & HRBP Excellence

  • Be accountable for people leadership of the HR Business Partner team

  • Coach, develop and role‑model strong partnering capability, commercial acumen and leadership behaviours within the People & Culture community

Organisation Design, Workforce & Talent

  • Provide leadership and guidance on organisational design, change management, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Lead the design, change management and implementation of new organisational structures, ways of working and major people initiatives, including restructures, mergers or large‑scale transformation programs

Performance, Talent & Capability practices

  • Oversee cyclical people activities including performance reviews, talent reviews, engagement surveys and remuneration reviews

  • Ensure effective planning and delivery, working with People Centres of Excellence

  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning and the development of key talent pathways, with a focus on scaling leadership capability and building high‑performing tech teams

Employee Relations, Risk & Governance

  • Act as a key advisor on complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, policy interpretation and people risk mitigation

Enterprise mindset, Culture & Insight

  • Proactively identify and respond to enterprise people priorities such as DEI, wellbeing, engagement and leadership uplift

  • Provide thought leadership and data‑driven insights to inform people strategy, organisational health and continuous improvement of people processes and practices

Who we're looking for

  • Senior HR leadership experience in a complex, matrixed technology or product‑led organisation

  • Proven experience partnering with executive leaders in growth environments

  • Strong background in organisation design, change management and talent strategy

  • Experience leading and developing teams

  • Highly credible, calm and confident executive presence

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and challenging constructively

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Data‑driven, pragmatic and outcomes‑focused

  • Values‑led leader who role‑models inclusive and ethical leadership
