Toddler Teacher (Twos Classroom)

Do you love the energy, curiosity, and rapid development of two-year-olds? Strong Start Early Care & Education in Shelton is hiring a Toddler Teacher to join our supportive, professional team in a NAEYC-accredited early childhood program.

This role is ideal for an educator who understands toddlers deeply, enjoys building strong routines, and brings warmth, patience, and classroom leadership to a busy twos environment.

What You'll Do

As a Toddler Teacher, you will:

  • Create a nurturing, structured classroom where two-year-olds thrive

  • Support curriculum planning aligned with Connecticut Early Learning Standards

  • Foster social-emotional growth, language development, and early independence

  • Communicate regularly with families through daily updates, conferences, and progress sharing

  • Maintain licensing, NAEYC, and center policy standards

  • Collaborate closely with teaching partners and leadership

  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and growth

What We're Looking For

  • At least 1 year of experience working with toddlers (ages 2–3 preferred)

  • A calm, reliable presence and strong classroom management skills

  • A passion for early childhood education and child development

  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and high-quality care
