The Advisor will play a key role in driving health, safety, and compliance across our corporate retail locations throughout Canada and the U.S. This role involves frequent travel (40–50%) to conduct audits, lead training, support investigations, and champion safety across the organization.

As a Health & Safety Advisor, what will your responsibilities be?

Develop, implement, and enforce health & safety policies across corporate retail stores in the U.S. and Canada (40-50% of travelling).

Support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement actions.

Provide on-site and virtual training for emergency preparedness, PPE, and safe work practices.

Conduct audits, risk assessments, and workplace inspections to ensure compliance.

Maintain accurate incident logs, OSHA reporting, and manage claims and Return-to-Work programs.

Collaborate with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with OHS legislation.

Serve as a resource and coach for teams across the retail network, offering guidance and support.
What is the ideal profile for this position?

Bachelor’s degree in OHS, HR, Industrial Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2–4 years of experience as an H&S Advisor or Worker’s Compensation Specialist, ideally in retail or manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of U.S. OHS laws, Workers’ Compensation Acts, and safety standards..

Analytical mindset, with the ability to solve problems and drive results independently.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Must be comfortable visiting corporate retail locations, conducting training sessions, and attending site audits.
