Health Information Management Specialist II - Job Overview
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Key Responsibilities
- Organize and process digital medical records at an enterprise level.
- Recommend and provide training on the EHR system's medical records processing and storage.
- Lead the seamless scanning of paper medical records into the EHR System.
- Pioneer the precise import of eFax and eDocuments into patient charts.
- Monitor and maintain work queues using document indexing systems.
- Ensure cross-coverage of department functions and strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Foster team dynamics and maintain effective communication within the team.
- Support Legacy's policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Participate actively in required meetings and safety training.
- Report safety concerns and adhere to exposure control plans.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Preferred experience in clinical/healthcare settings and RHIT Certification.
- Proficiency in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Preferred experience with word processing and computer systems.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record Systems (EHRS) is highly favored.
