Job Description

Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Duties:

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and procedures
  • Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and quality control
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all tests performed
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
  • Associates degree or certificate in Histotechnology
  • Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or HT license
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and laboratory procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in using laboratory equipment and computer systems

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Reasoning Ability  

 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 

 

Computer Skills 

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.

Salary Range: Please note that the hourly range for this position will vary based on experience level, education and geographical location.

$26.21 - $36.69 / hour
