Job Description

Job Summary

The Human Resources Learning & Development Specialist helps to create, plan, deliver, and administer training and development programs at the individual, group, department, division, and company levels. Establishes and maintains collaborative professional relationships with personnel, including management, to plan programs. Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives. The Human Resources Learning & Development Specialist provides interpretation and translation services between English and Spanish to assist with departmental, resort, and employee needs. They will also provide support for recruitment services as needed.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking

Strong administrative, attention to detail and organization skills

Prior customer service/employee relations experience

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general database applications

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Must be at least 18

Preferred

Previous office/administrative experience

Training and development experience

Knowledge of resort operations

Typical Schedule

Days:

Monday-Friday, weekends and holidays as needed

Hours:

9am-5pm, evenings as needed

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, development, and delivery of presentations, and training and development programs
  • Research new training and development initiatives and implement as directed
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
  • Assess training materials prepared by departmental teams
  • Support HR team with administrative functions/programs/events as needed
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements
  • Present training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, videos, and learning platforms
  • Participate in employee feedback programs/committees
  • Complete cross-training and serve as a back-up in the absence of other human resource professionals
  • Provide interpretation and translation services between English and Spanish languages for department and resort initiatives – written, verbal, and in group settings
  • Other duties as assigned by management
