The HR Intern will provide day‑to‑day tactical HR support within our plant operations environment. This role serves as a first point of contact for employees and people leaders - helping navigate HR processes, answering routine HR questions, and supporting core people‑related activities on site.
This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field who want hands‑on experience delivering frontline HR client support. Success in this role requires strong follow through and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, highly dynamic plant environment.

Essential Responsibilities
The HR Intern will work closely with the site HR leader and People Solutions team to support daily operations, including:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for employee HR inquiries (e.g., benefits navigation, policy questions, timekeeping, attendance, Workday transactions).
- Assist in resolving routine employee concerns by following established procedures and escalating issues appropriately.
- Support people leaders by providing guidance and coaching on standard HR policies and processes.
- Provide basic systems support, run reports, and assist with HR analytics.
- Participate in planning and executing employee engagement activities and corporate HR‑led initiatives.
- Help maintain HR communication boards, signage, and plant‑level HR updates.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate handling of sensitive information.
Internship Duration:
- Expected through Summer 2026, with flexibility to extend. Part‑time during the academic year; potential for full‑time hours during Summer.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to work onsite at the Oak Creek‑based plant throughout the internship period.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer service, office/administrative roles, or team‑based work environments (professional or volunteer).
- Familiarity with HR concepts gained through coursework or student organizations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday).
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with employees at all levels in a manufacturing environment.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and an approachable, resourceful attitude.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and willingness to learn.
