The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:
Position Overview
The HR Intern will focus on specific process improvement projects that directly support the 2026 Magna Strategy and Goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruiting and onboarding process
Work on creative ways to increase onboarding efficiencies
Process new hires through the HRIS systems
Create proposals on retention ideas
Market Magna for different demographics
Schedule and participate in internal and external interviews
Training
Participate in orientation training
Present the HR slides to new hires
Observe production assistant/supervisor meeting on leadership development
Create training and presenting to the supervisor
Organize and execute employee gratitude wall project
Systems Audit/Filing
Assist in the preparation of the annual IFTS internal audit
Work through the check lists and validating appropriate documentation is included in each personnel file. If documentation is missing, processing the completion to maintain compliance with audit.
Assist with electronic file conversion
Qualifications:
- Some related experience preferred
Education / Experience
- The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communication, or Business.
- Candidates should be entering their junior or senior year or enrolled in a graduate program.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven organizational skills capable of managing multiple tasks and projects.
- Marketing skills that can translate to multiple demographics
- Creative solutions and critical thinking ability to adapt to multiple challenges
- Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism at all times
