Summary of Duties

As a Human Services Navigator, you will:

  • Welcome and assist people in person, over the phone, and online, ensuring interactions are supportive and trauma informed.

  • Help individuals connect with services by offering information, application guidance, and resource referrals.

  • Manage office tasks like managing supplies, coordinating resources, and keeping accurate records.

  • Process mail, emails, phone calls, and documents, responding promptly and keeping information updated.

  • Maintain office security by monitoring access, tracking entry requests, and ensuring safety policies are followed.

  • Keep client and office data secure, managing sensitive information responsibly and following compliance guidelines.

  • Improve service delivery by reviewing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to workflows and procedures.

  • Provide backup support for other branches as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents. Or

  • An associate degree in any field. Or

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in customer service, focused on building positive relationships and supporting all.

  • Experience creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that ensures equitable services.

  • Experience with trauma-informed and trauma-focused services, using a person-centered approach.

  • Experience typing quickly and accurately for administrative tasks.

  • Experience navigating multiple computer screens and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Preference will be given to candidates that are bilingual in Spanish and English.

Working Conditions

  • Duties for this role will be performed in an office setting.

  • Occasional, travel is required for supporting other branch offices as needed.

  • The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm PT, with possible fluctuations based on service needs.

  • Rare, compensated overtime may be optional.

  • You may collaborate with individuals experiencing trauma or crisis, including individuals who may have difficulty managing their emotions.

  • Quick decision-making may be necessary to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
