Job Description:

Position Overview

The Humanities Hub Internship Coordinator plays a key role in launching and supporting the Humanities Hub as part of the Mellon Foundation-funded program; facilitates internships for students in eligible Humanities majors by cultivating relationships with Cedar Valley employers, arranging networking and workshopping events, and coordinating training opportunities for potential internship hosts; works closely with department heads and faculty coordinators to identify and encourage student interns, promote available opportunities, and ensuring reporting compliance with UNI and Mellon Foundation requirements; develops best practice standards across Humanities departments while accommodating discipline specific needs; advances the visibility of the Humanities Hub through digital and printed outreach materials; conducts one on one advising with interested students, and maintains contact with students and alumni to track professional progress; manages payment and reimbursement processes in compliance with UNI and Mellon Foundation requirements; and supports students in completing proper documentation, and ensures timely and accurate reporting.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least two years of experience in career services, academic advising, employer relations, community engagement, program coordination, or related field; strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and external partners; and strong organizational and project management skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a humanities discipline, higher education, or related field; internship coordination experience; and experience working in higher education preferred.
