Job Description

Jake’s Heating, Air & Plumbing is looking for an HVAC Residential Service Technician to bring their skills and energy to our growing team where your hard work will be appreciated, rewarded, and backed by a supportive crew. You’ll be working on complex HVAC issues in customers’ homes and representing a trusted local brand. We have an immediate opening for someone ready to join our team.

Responsibilities• Service, repair, and/or propose replacement of furnaces, air conditioners, duct systems, boilers, water heaters, related piping, and electrical components• Perform startups, testing, and adjustments according to manufacturer specifications and job requirements• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and low-voltage electrical issues• Utilize refrigerant knowledge and experience for system diagnosis and repair• Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues, options, and maintenance in a way that’s easy to understand• Build trust and deliver top-tier service that represents the Jake’s brand• Complete all required documentation for each call, including recommendations, repairs, readings, and payment collection

What You’ll Need• 5+ years of residential HVAC experience (required)• Strong customer communication skills; you’ll be face to face with homeowners daily• Refrigerant experience and understanding of safe handling and diagnostics• Solid knowledge of HVAC products and services with a desire to keep learning• Goal oriented mindset with the ability to plan, track, and meet targets• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specs• Detail oriented when ordering parts, documenting work, and staying organized• Clean, professional appearance and positive, team first attitude• Safe driving record and a strong focus on workplace safety
