SummaryICU: The ICU Unit Service Technician provides a broad range of care and services to ICU patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including but not to limited to, phlebotomy, blood glucose monitoring, completing EKGs, supporting procedures within their scope, patient transport, securing equipment and supplies, and responding to medical emergency situations utilizing Heartsaver CPR and AED skills. They will also perform a wide range of secretarial duties and perform 1:1 sitting when necessary.The Unit Service Technician of the ICU will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.
