Job Description
JOB FUNCTION: The Warehouse Receiving Associate ensures accurate receipt, documentation, and organization of incoming inventory to support warehouse operations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders
- Use computer systems to enter and update inventory records
- Utilize digital tools and scanners to label, sort, and store inventory
- Inspect received goods for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues
- Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure proper placement of materials
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic understanding of shipping/receiving documentation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP or inventory software is beneficial
