Job Description
Shift: M-F; one weekend of on-call rotation per month.
Hours: 6 PM - 2:30 AM
Pay: Starting at $35/HR depending on experience
Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions
- Performs equipment inspections and identifies needed work.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance. Lubrication, alignments, time/condition-based replacements, etc.
- Performs Predictive Maintenance. Will be tasked with utilizing the Vibration Analysis tool to gather information.
- Performs Corrective Maintenance. Mechanical troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and restoration on pumps, fans, conveyors, elevators, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, valves, air compressors, other power transmission devices, etc.
- Performs fabrication, welding and pipe fitting. New construction and repairs on carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, fiberglass, copper, etc.
- Uses the CMMS daily to provide documentation and feedback of work completed.
- Responsible for housekeeping of work and storage areas to maintain an environment conducive to safe and efficient maintenance by daily cleaning of work areas.
- Works outdoors in a plant environment with exposure to noise and dust.
- Enters confined spaces as required and in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
- Climbs stairs and scaffolding.
- Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed and in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
- Works 8-hour shifts and overtime, as customer and business needs require.
- Performs other job-related duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Journeyman or certification in Industrial Maintenance Repair or closely related discipline is required.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience performing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Proficient in pump repair, burning/soldering, hydraulics/pneumatics, and pipefitting.
- Proficient with grinders drills, welding equipment, and hand and power tools. Machining experience (mills/lathes) a plus.
- Able to interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC is a plus.
- Must be fluent in English with the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and handling instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have a working knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts and overtime.
- Must be able to demonstrate successful work history in which standing for prolonged periods, bending, stooping and lifting were an integral part of the job, preferably in a production or process-oriented industry.
