Job Description
Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for Equipment Technicians and Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanics to join our team in Tulsa, OK. These candidates must have machine repair experience.

Expectations of the position
As an Equipment Technician, you will use small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
As a Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic, your responsibilities will include ensuring the functionality and reliability of industrial machinery, engines, and mechanical systems. This role involves performing both major and minor repairs, conducting regular preventive maintenance on equipment, and diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
Core Responsibilities
Equipment Technician Responsibilities:
Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyors, mechanical components, and electrical components for production equipment.
Perform basic troubleshooting for single-phase and 240v systems.
Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components, including pneumatics and hydraulics.
Perform troubleshooting for 3-phase systems and equipment up to 480v.
May tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs.
Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:
Perform major and minor repairs on heavy diesel equipment and trucks.
Overhaul/rebuild engines and transmissions.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes.
Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and identify necessary repairs.
Work with operators to understand issues and problems with machinery.
Use hydraulic jacks or hoists, as required, to complete repair jobs.
Keep logs of work and report any issues.
Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
Comply with safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
What You'll Need
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
2-3 years of experience in equipment maintenance (or a similar role for the Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic).
Proven work experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (for those applying for that role).
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components of heavy equipment and trucks.
Familiarity with electrical systems, including single-phase and 3-phase circuits.
Welding experience (stick or MIG) is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Working Conditions
Full-time, hourly position.
Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas.
This position may require working beyond regular hours, including weekends and holidays. Shifts may vary depending on production needs (e.g., rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts).
Must be able to tolerate a noisy, physically demanding environment with varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing plant.
Flexibility to work long shifts and overnight if required (for Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic role).
