Who We Are

The Enterprise Technology Services Division (ETSD), part of the Office of the State Court Administrator (OSCA) within OJD, is hiring an Power Platform Solutions Developer (Information Technology Developer) to join our team in Salem, Oregon.

ETSD provides business solutions, system support, technology vendor management, and information security for OJD. Position Highlights

In this role, you will design, develop, implement, monitor, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions that effectively address business needs. This role involves implementing development best practices Power Platform solutions to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency. You will also be expected to innovate and enhance applications based on industry trends and client expectations, optimize solutions for performance and security, and provide suggestions for process and tool improvements. Additionally, in this role you will be responsible for the configuration, management, and Tier 2 support of Power Platform and SharePoint environments within the organization.

Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

(These must be evident in your resume or work history.)

The qualified candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

AND

Four (4) years of technical experience in the duties and infrastructure support required for the position.

OR

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to eight (8) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Special Qualifications

Possession of a current driver's license in good standing, an acceptable driving record, and the ability to obtain or maintain a driver's license in Oregon to operate an Oregon Department of Administrative Services-owned motor pool vehicle for when work travel is required.

Requested Skills and Attributes

  • Solution Development

  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring solutions using Power Platform, particularly PowerApps and Power Automate.

  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and integrating external services.

  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Dataverse, and common data services.

  • Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and third-party applications.

  • Skill in conducting peer reviews of teammate solutions and providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to team-defined standards and best practices.

  • Ability to test and troubleshoot applications to ensure optimal functionality and performance.

  • Knowledge of UI/UX best practices to create user-friendly, intuitive solutions.

  • Ability to innovate and enhance current solutions and processes to improve usability and productivity.

  • Skill with optimizing both new and existing solutions to meet performance, security standards, and industry best practices.

  • Microsoft 365 Cloud Services Management

  • Experience with configuring and managing Power Platform and SharePoint environments.

  • Skill with managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings.

  • Ability to conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting.

  • Documentation & Support

  • Skill presenting information clearly and logically, both orally and in writing.

  • Experience communicating technical issues to users with various levels of IT knowledge.

  • Ability to train and support to end-users effectively.

  • Experience creating and maintaining detailed documentation for developed solutions, including design specifications, user guides, and technical documentation.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is currently 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional work outside these times. This position is FLSA-exempt and ineligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per workweek.
  • Occasional travel, including possible overnight stays, to court locations throughout the state.
  • Hybrid work may be available for this position. All hybrid work assignments begin, end, or change only with administrative authority approval. This position requires onsite availability as needed.
  • Frequent email, phone, and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Frequent email, phone, and in-person contact with people who are confused or frustrated.
  • Lifting and moving equipment that weighs up to 40 pounds may be required.
  • Frequent long periods of sitting or standing.
