$75,000.00 to Negotiable Annual

General Description/Primary Purpose:

The School of Nursing is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure earning, Instructor of Nursing. Position responsibilities will include a 4/4 teaching load. The successful candidate will 1) teach in areas of expertise, 2) supervise students in clinical areas, lab, and simulation, 3) participate on school committees, and 4) perform nursing and community service in areas of expertise.

Supervisor: This position will report to the Interim Director, Dr. Debra Harrison.

Working Hours: Varies

Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.

Required Licensure: Unencumbered license as RN/APRN in Florida (or eligible for endorsement for Florida nursing license).

Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN)

  • Recent clinical practice as RN/APRN

  • Minimum of five years clinical experience as RN/APRN

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:

  • Prior experience as academic or clinical nurse educator

  • Prior experience in simulation
