ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Applicants will be considered for internships with various electrical engineering departments across theorganization. Our engineering internsare responsible foroverseeing the technical design, evaluation, and construction of commercial and utility-scale projects. In the past, our engineering interns have joined teams such as:

Electrical Engineering

  • As an intern on theRenewable Electrical Engineering team, youwillberesponsibleforthe electrical engineering and construction ofcutting-edgerenewable energy projects. 

  • With the support of senior engineers, you willbe responsible formanaging conceptual project designs and the selected engineering firmsin order tocomplete final detailed designs for projects to be built.

  • The electrical systems of these projectsutilizeinverter-based wind and solar generators that include 1500V DC wiring systems, 34.5kV AC medium voltage collection/distribution circuits, collector substations to step-up power, and transmission line interconnections to the grid at high and extra high voltages.

SCADA Engineering:

  • As an intern on the SCADA Engineering construction team, you willbe responsible forthe engineering, procurement and commissioning of supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) systems and associated communications infrastructure related tocutting-edgerenewable energy projects. 

  • You will work with senior engineers to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to develop conceptual designs. 

  • With the supervision of senior engineers, you willbe responsible formanaging the procurement, final detailed designs, commissioning, and acceptance testing on renewable energy projects. 

  • The SCADA & IT systems of these projects may include RTACs, RTUs, plant controllers, network switches, firewalls, annunciators, HMIs and all associated connectivity on wind, solar and battery storage renewable energy projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Currentlyenrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027.

  • Majoring in Electrical Engineeringor Power SystemsEngineering

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Demonstrated interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector

Base Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 Hourly

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Your recruiter can share more about the base pay for this internship opportunity during the hiring process. 

Interns may be eligible to contribute to a 401k.
