During the internship you will be assigned a mentor who will assign you projects based on your area of interest along with the needs of the plant with the intent to prepare you for a career in your desired field. The EHS Intern is responsible for supporting an effective EHS System that is current, used, understood and maintained in their area of the facility according to NSG and ISO Guidelines and to continually improve the products, processes and services and to ensure customer satisfaction (EHS/Quality Policy).
Essential Functions:
- The EHS Intern is responsible for the understanding and execution of NSG Group’s EHS systems and processes, providing direct support to the EHS Group Leader and EHS Specialist.
- Perform audits, inspections, maintain records and support report generation.
- Serve the production and maintenance teams by supporting EHS improvement matters, related to air emissions, water and wastewater discharge, waste management, and OSHA standards compliance.
- Complete and file required inspections, audits, reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents to maintain a controlled EHS documentation system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications Required:
- College of Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior Status in a four-year engineering degree program
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good PC skills, familiar with Microsoft Office
- Observant of Manufacturing Safety Needs
- Familiar with lab practices
Qualifications Desired:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Hands-on experience with machinery and equipment
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Working Hours per week:
- 24-40 hours per week
Salary Range $36,816 - $62,400
